blind and uses her spear as a walking stick, but still can and will beat you up. elderyth's wife and loves her more than anything, although she'd never admit it out-loud. elderyth knows though. quiet, but stern, and has a commanding presence. a bit paranoid too.




so elderyth used to be a mercenary for hire, stuff like clearing out monsters, escorting rich peeps, protecting nobles, that kinda jazz

and one day, she was hired to work with a noble's captain of the guard to protect him from a supposed assassination attempt. the captain and elde didn't like eachother at All at first, both on very different sides, but grew to appreciate each other's ways of doing things over the days. as time wore on, they thought the attempt was just going to be a fluke
until, the assassination attempt actually happened
except, it wasn't on the noble

they came for the captain, as she had been getting closer to discovering the noble had been working with the local mob on the side to get up in the nobility and eliminate his opponents
it was a setup, and they were going to blame elderyth for the murder of the captain
however, they immensely underestimated elde and the captain, and they got away, but not without a price. one of the hired assassins had slashed the captain's eyes, and she wouldn't be able to see again
the mercenary and the captain escaped to elderyth's ship, and sailed away
the captain agreed to stay with elderyth, just as long as it took for her to become accustomed to fighting without her sight
but i think they both knew she'd be staying longer than that

and thATS how elderyth and neikr met!!
