Biography

||The Unexpected Obstacle||

People seem to see life as a Snapper as particularly uneventful. Their repeated meanderings of the land prove bothersome for clans attempting to settle in some areas. Other clans coexist with their wondering fellows, some making them honorary members of their clans due to how often they pass through, some leaving gifts along their path of food or other useful items. Worble is no exception to this phenomenon beyond the fact he travels alone. Which in itself isn't unheard off but certainly not common. He was spied wondering the Starwood Strand, his impressive form easy to spot even through the warped treeline. He was deemed very quickly to not be a threat but several grew concerned for his safety as the forest can hold many horrors and for such a new arrival they feared he could be taken off guard fairly easily. Worble however marched on undeterred, some felt the young dragon was simply cocky in his actions, picking a path of danger to show off, however, things quickly proved different.

Worble's seemingly sudden arrival in the arcane landscape wasn't really paid much mind to, however, as days grew to weeks and steadily into months many grew curious. Snapper pathways usually cover MUCH more ground and can pass through several elemental plains. So for an earth flight Snapper to settle himself in a small path in arcane lands was indeed very strange. Aspiring philosopher Didier was the first dragon of the clan to make contact with Worble, growing curious of the odd paths the Snapper was slowly creating in the dirt. By this time, several months into his journey Worble began to look different, it almost seemed as if he was picking up aspects of the land he walked in. Gentle vines wrapped round his impressive frame as speices of arcane flora began to bloom on his body, it was hard to tell where the land ended and he began as his soft winding natural patterned became enveloped in plant life. The pair made small talk as Worble spoke of a powerful pull and connection to the region he found himself in, he had always seen the lazily floating crystals the clan called home and wondered to himself what laid beyond. They began speaking more often as Didier's curiosity only grew with each encounter. The more time he spent out on those paths the more he noticed the way the landscape had changed. It was small, almost hard to see. The trees bent softly towards these paths, plants seemingly parted to allow Worble room to roam. The most impressive thing was despite months of trampling the grass and soil were not bare as one might expect, but thriving.

Further observation by other members of the clan like botanists and high profile magic users were surprised at the findings. Even native arcane dragons were perplexed by the goings. Didier grew more obsessed with discovering the meaning behind it all when one day, during the flight back home he noticed something. The shapes of the paths, they made up symbols. Didier frantically threw himself into study of these runes, making drawings of them from the air and even showing them to Worble who seemed unfazed almost beyond a sense of understanding. Worble told Didier of Snappers who were blessed with knowledge of symbols that held powers of the land and walked previously unknown paths that brought out various things in the land. Didier couldn't help but wonder how Worble hadn't thought that he was indeed one of those dragons but Worble simply gave a vague shrug and continued on his way. Worble wouldn't confess that many don't know they are doing it until the land is benifiting from the symbols, but usually the dragon stays within their own flight to do this so he put the idea behind him.

Many members of the clan gradually met and spoke with Worble, with mixed results, while he seems to have a lot of knowledge even at a young age he seems either reluctant to share it or just too darn shy. He gained a lot of favour with Tera for giving her more things to study. By proxy this made him friends with Hallow but Worble won't admit his fear of him but you might notice him speeding up a smidge when Hallow is around. He was considered a member of the clan even though he wasn't living with them. Some brought him food as you would expect. What cemented his place in the clan was one evening, a pair of Roc's began charging through the forests, destroying trees in their rage. Steadily they encroached on Worble's location intentionally or otherwise. The night watch caught sight and raised the alarm but before anyone even got close sometime happened. The paths. The trees. The plants. All seemed to react at once as Worble held firm, the land around him becoming as steadfast as he was. Trees refused to break, bushes grew thick with thorns as it all seemed to fight back with him. The Roc's, afraid, fled the area with no further damage or need for fighting. Worble was praised for his grand abilities and even though he got by on his own, he felt humbled by the clans willingness to come to his aid despite his rather frosty nature.

Now Worble still wonders the Starwood Strand but safe in the knowledge not only a whole hoard of other dragons have his back, but so does the land he walks upon every day. He protects it and it does the same in return to him. He has warmed up finally to others but is still a little shy at times.
