Big Briganthius’s life is a paradox. She’s loved sailing ever since she escaped from her birth-clan, but has her breed’s instinctual hate of water. This has resulted in her taking a rather passive stance on sailing, hiding in the captain’s cabin at the first sign of rough weather. But despite her faults and compulsive “borrowing,” she is well loved by her crew and tribemates, many of whom owe their lives to her.

Nowadays, she sails mostly to help smuggle other dragons in situations like hers into the clan.
