Corey was always told she was special. Her clan mates had said she was gifted from the Plaguebringer herself, with skin that always looked diseased and eyes that only those touched with plague would show. But Corey never felt special. She was forced to spend her childhood studying for when she would run her clan, as her elders said she was meant to do. So she watched the other hatchlings play, run, and explore while she was stuck inside a dark section of the clan's caves, going over countless records and histories that, at her age, she had no capability to understand. This went on for what felt like an eternity, until one day, she left...
