Born from the purest shadow magic infecting a dying tree, corrupting it and giving it new life, Reyth was different to most dragons. Specifically, that she wasn’t actually a dragon. She was a spirit, a demon if you would. Some might know her kind by the name of Spriggan. Upon discovering she was capable of taking the form of a dragon, as well as her demon and tree forms, she decided to explore the world, curious to learn more about the other inhabitants of her homeland.

Reyth wandered for eons, changing appearances at a whim and mingling with many wandering dragons and their clans. She learned much about dragonkind during her travels eventually meeting with Suril and CreepingIvy at the Trading Post, or rather, she heard them talking and decided to eavesdrop on the two to see if she could learn something about them. The two were talking about Ivy’s garden, discussing what plants would make the best addition when Reyth decided to take her demon form and vanish into the plants near them, as it so happened, the plant she chose to hide herself within was a plant the duo agreed would make a wonderful addition to the garden.

After the long trek back home Ivy and Suril set to work settling in the new plants, making sure they were placed in the right zones and the most ideal conditions. By the time all the fuss was over and Suril and Ivy had gone back inside to sleep the sun was creeping up over the horizon. Reyth slunk out of her hiding place and stretched, taking up her newest dragon form, that of an aberration, before wandering through the garden investigating her surroundings. She had to admit, this expansive garden was very impressive and wondered how they’d managed to get the elemental energies from all eleven regions, as well as a neutral zone for the more unique plants found in low magic areas, into this one garden. When her curiosity was finally satisfied, she wandered into the mouth of the massive skull that lay at the center, and down to the caverns below just as the duo before had done.

When evening fell and the members of Breakwing Point stirred to begin their days, a murmur of unease spread throughout them. A stranger was standing in the recreational area gazing around them as the light faded and bioluminescent plant life began to glow, providing a beautiful yet eerie atmosphere to the cavern. When approached she turned one head to Suril who remembered seeing her briefly at the Trading Post the previous day. Questioning how she’d gotten here everyone was confused when she replied with “You brought me here yourself.” as no new arrivals had been mentioned and clearly Ivy and Suril had no recollection of her joining them. Introducing herself as the Tree Demon Reyth she noted that many grew silent.

She tilted her head as Suril spoke up, “You are a demon?”
“Yep! Not the 'gonna kill and eat you' kind, I like plants a lot, hey. You like plants too right? Wanna be friends? We can talk about what kinds of poisonous flora we like and our favourite trees and-“
“Uh, hey, um. How exactly did you get in here and when?”
“Hmm? Oh, yesterday. You brought me home in one of your plants and I kinda just… let myself in. Your garden’s really pretty by the way, how do you keep it so pretty and healthy? I didn’t think dragons cared about nature. Guess I was wrong~”
The stares she got didn’t seem to phase her as Ivy and Thunderclap approached. The two spoke with Reyth and Suril at length as the rest of the clan began going about their normal routines, still wary of the newcomer.

Eventually the discussion came to an end and to the curiosity of many Reyth began to wander the halls. Suril, Ivy and Thunderclap had come to the agreement that she meant no harm and so were happy for her to stay as long as she didn’t cause trouble, and so she spent most of her time wandering the halls investigating the plants around the place, popping up here and there without warning to say hi to passers-by. Eventually the clan grew to get used to her presence and most of them now enjoy lengthy conversations with her while they work, though this often leads to visitors thinking they are crazy for having conversations with plants. Until they are greeted by one themselves.
