Kaz
 Heretic Sage
The Heretic Sage is, despite his title and status as a Warblood, one of the most excitable dragons. He laughed more than a few times as he led the second generation into battle, but would hold the same laugh when trying a new dance. He finds joy in the arts due to his innate disposition as a coatl but also because it is the only connection he now holds to the clan he once called his family. Unlike what many would expect, what Kaz most enjoyed was not the company of books but disguising himself and mingling with the students of the Crests. He would sit and learn their behaviours and feel a sense of satisfaction in seeing the vibrance of the young that he protects. This is also a method through which he trains his will for he can only ever be a visitor in the lives of these students and never a permanent individual unless they joined the Crests. This constant self-inflicted spiritual pain helped keep his mind sharp and always aware of the path of bones ahead of him, few have as much willpower.

Kaz stands as the first student of the first student and is thus often seen as the leader of the second-generation. It is a mantle he has shown himself to be more than capable of holding whether it be in matters of fighting power or improving morale. He earned the title of Heretic among the common dragons the day he joined his teacher on the battlefield against a few of the deity’s zealots, who had in quite a comedic turn of events allied with a few of the worst shade-touched in an effort to destroy the first heretic. He gained the title of sage not because of deep thinking or some form of greatness in his manner of battle. Once, he gained a deep interest in literature to the point that he had scoured the Spirit Crest, and the globe trying to read on different styles of speaking. A skill he then used to verbally abuse many dragons without them realizing it. After many such incidents, those in the Crests gave him the moniker, Sage. Eventually, the moniker spread throughout the Sornieth.

Around the Sornieth, young dragons will find which waystones that help direct them to where they can find that which they seek. During his search for artifacts that produced music, his first interest, Kaz met a waystone that pointed him in the right direction. The second time he met it was during his search for literature on methods of speaking. Then there was a third time, a fourth time, and even a ninth time. During these meetings, Waystone showed a playful personality and got along really well with Kaz. Unfortunately, this friendship was short in length for on the tenth time, there was naught but dust and rubble where the waystone once stood. In his grief, he grasped onto the rumour that certain waystones could free themselves from their static presence through will, but would emerge in an unknown corner of Sornieth. Thus began a search that was uncertain in nature but ended quite comedically when a floating piece of rubble stopped Kaz to ask the directions to the 6 Crests of Hades.
