Aveline

First daughter of Elavan and Draco, Aveline's role is Explorer like her mother. She craves adventure and takes Mian, her Amaranth moth, everywhere she goes. She secretly hopes to one day find the relic that brought her mother to The Everbloom Gardens in the first place, but until then she simply wants to see the world and know what it holds.

Mian is very shy and hides in her dragon's wings or among her woodbraces when she wears them. just as excited to see the world, the pair make a good team: Aveline being the out going and powerful dragon, and Mian being the careful thinker.

The Dustcarve Dig.
Her mother nodded to her as she was picked from the dozens of dragons of the clan. Her flames flared as her heart pounded- this is what shes always wanted! to leave the everbloom gardens and see the world, to see beyond the behemoth and maybe start her Search. the sunset dragon leapt onto the large bonsai that her father would normally perch himself on. As she looked out around her from the new view she was struck with the awe of it; she could see the entire clan, see the gardens and waterways and even the beastclan tribes. Mian fluttered to her cheek and guided her head towards her right and farther than she could ever realize. She saw the pillar of the world all the way from her clan. Her Father could see the pillar of the world all the way from his perch. "Mom" she breathed as three others joined her on the bonsai. "Mom, dad is always..." she turned to the banana dragon only to see the rag tag of dragons she would be working with. Delphine she knew less as the daughter of the living crystal and Drost and more as her brother's mate. the other two we're unknown to her. the first being a daughter of Razzy and SS made sense- she had goat eyes and runes floated around her. the third eye and feathers bursting from her were also signs of Razzy's arcane energy mixing with SnowShadow's unexplainable powers. the other was a surprise- Tiamat and vincent were banescales. Aveline was aware that Mika has created potions on accident that transformed dragons into other kinds but it has only ever been a veilspun and bogsnakes. the Guardian was larger than her and the bonsai groaned with his added weight. Her flames dimmed, a sense of unease washing over her.
"These four will fly to The Colonnades of Antiquity and assist with The Dustcarve Dig on behath of Clan Guardian Draco!" Elavan's voice carried over the crowd that was their clan. "The rest of us will look out for and watch over our leader, your founder, my bonded and mate, Draco. I know the pain he still feels for his lost charge..." her voice dropped and the clan held their heads low- solidarity- before she spoke up again. "and i know if i could be reunited with my own- I would risk life and limb." and with that the truth comes out. The clan knows their leader too well, they know as soon as he finds out about this event he will leave, risking his mind, body, soul, and this second chance at life to try and redeem himself. Aveline's heart ached at the thought. she knows her father would want nothing more to be free of the guilt he carries, but this isn't the way. No one knows how he will react to being so close to the snapper's resting place and the crime scene that he survived. the other dragons began to leave the area to gather supplies to give to the four- they were being dubbed "The Next Chapter" as if that won't get confusing-. eventually it was just the mother and daughter on the bonsai, in the clearing. "Mom." Aveline started. "I think dad chose this bonsai because he can see the earth flight from it."
Elavan looked worried and followed her daughter's gaze to the Pillar of The World. her expression grew serious and grim. "I once heard that the reason guardians never return from losing their charge is because they go mad." she watched her mother stare with a ferocious glare at the earth flight. "Your father doesn't know about the dig. But i fear all this activity will get him curious." she turned to her daughter, eyes soft and face pulled into a smile. "Me, Razzy, Tiamat, and Mika will make sure he is unaware." for some reason that didn't reassure Aveline.
That night she packed as much as she could carry as well as any tools that the clan had. Mian seemed worried but with how anxious the guardian felt she wasn't sure if it was because of her own emotions or the stirring concern she had for her father.
Because if she knew him as well as anyone else in the clan, she knows. deep down. He already knows about the dig- and is already plotting a way to secretly venture to the colonnades of antiquity.
