“Dad?”
The older imperial yawned.
“Yes honey?” He replied.
“What’s it like in the wilderness?” She asked.
“I’ve heard that it’s very dangerous, yet beautiful.” He replied “You can’t go there though.”
“Why not?” She whines.
“You haven’t harnessed your powers well enough to protect yourself.”
“You can protect me!” She chirps.
“I don’t have the time, I still have lots of training to do.
With that, she storms off.
Bee stood at the edge of the forest, remembering her father’s words. But she wanted this. She wanted to explore the woods, to see what the place in so many of her favorite books would be like. Maybe it’ll even help her harness her powers. She enters the wood, in awe of its beauty. She finds a large rock and stands on it, pretending to be the ruler of the woods. Suddenly, a large bear leaps out at her. She squeals, running as fast as she could possibly go. Once she knows she lost the bear, she stops to breathe. I want to go home. She complains. She got up and started looking for a way home, but no matter what she couldn’t find it. Then, another, larger creature appears, snarling. Eek! She once again runs, but she is now tired, leaving her in the creature’s claws. Looking up, she sees another imperial staring at her. She expected to be killed for trespassing, but instead the dragon lifts her claws.
“I can’t kill you.” She says.
“I-I’m sorry I trespassed your territory miss.” She said nervously
“That has nothing to do with it.”
“Then why?”
“That is none of your business. Go home, leave me here.”
“I’m lost, and there’s no way I’m leaving you here alone.”
“You know I just tried to kill you.”
“But you’re heart stopped you” She said. “That must mean that deep down, you are a good person.”
The other imperial sighed.
“You’re so innocent and sweet, come on, let me show you my den. I’ll help you find you’re way home in the morning.
Bee followed the older dragon eagerly.
“By the way, my names Bee, what’s yours.”
“Little.”
“Little? That’s a funny name for an imperial.”
Little let out a snarl at this.
“Er… sorry, nice to meet you, Little.”
