Biography
Dragons from the town of Florac were known to be naturally competitive. Of course, like many small towns, this was in part because every dragon had to make a name for themselves to be viewed as unique, and worth something. Hyacinth was no different, and excelled in team sports and aiding others in teamwork.
However, one competitive area she didn't excel in was motherhood. While all of her friends were finding mates and raising their very first brood, Hyacinth and her mate were met with disappointment every time they tried for a family. All eggs were unfertilized and would only rot, and when consulting a doctor, they discovered that Hyacinth was completely sterile.
Heartbroken but not defeated, she called upon her strengths and passion and moved on to where she could have some semblance of a family. Thanks to her talent in the sport of Dragonball, many teaching Academies and Colleges were happy to hire her on as a coach. She had her pick of them all, and the prospect of teaching young dragons her favorite sport seemed like the best job she could have.
Hyacinth explored several schools, but an offer of higher pay drew her to Inanis Academy. She was impressed by the politeness of the students and staff alike, as well as the diversity in abilities of the school's pupils. What finally sealed the deal, however, was the meeting with the Academy's principal, Kiana Likila. Hyacinth had always heard stories of how Guardian dragons just knew when they had found their Charge in life, and she knew then that she would dedicate her life to the Academy, its students, and most of all, making Kiana proud.
She is a favorite sporting coach to all of her students. She can be a bit tough on them and be quite particular in ensuring that they're doing the motions just right--and rightfully so, as improper form can cause injury!--and her competitive nature can at times get the best of her. But her students are more afraid of disappointing her and not receiving her praise, than they are of losing a game or performing a skill wrong. Her students are treated as equals no matter their background or skill level, even though she personally adopts every orphaned student who joins the Academy. She loves every student whether adopted or not, and pushes them all to be the very best they can.
There are rumors around the Academy that she has an unofficial fan club that she is unaware of, and that Kiana is on the list of members, along with other faculty and many, many students.
