An eager and eccentric Coatl with a penchant for alchemy.

West speaks traditional draconic with a heavy accent, punctuated with excited buzzing and hums. His plumage is very vibrant and patterned as a result of his exposure to volatile research. Now, he is always adorned in proper protective equipment and chemical-resistant attire.

He is very meticulous in the upkeep of his laboratory — everything is exact in its position, however haphazard it may seem on the outside. West spent most of his youth living and completing his studies in the Astrolodome, and only recently migrated (alongside his colleague Min) to the Southern Icefields to collect and research rare transmutation materials.

Any travelers and neighbors in need of assistance with their alchemy are more than welcome to ask for his aid. West is always willing to help!

While keeping a busy schedule, West finds time to spend with his mate and daughter. He is agreeable and widely compassionate, making friends with almost everyone that crosses his path (even pariahs like Dyggvi count themselves among his ever-growing social circle). West strives to improve the lives of those around him, and keeps a positive outlook in all circumstances. When things become dire, he is the first to offer solutions.

— West is named after Herbert West, from the Re-animator short story and movie. But rest assured he doesn't actually do any necromancy-themed magic.
