Dianthus Forgotten Warrior

"Dianthus is far from the first warrior to enter these fields, but she is the one I would say fought the hardest. She ripped these flowers apart like a woman possessed, fought four days and nights trying to pull the flowers off of herself and the others she arrived with. The knight and the mage fell, yet she didn't stop fighting against the inevitable. I wanted to help, but she screamed at me to stay away. Of course, being infected myself, I would've only made it worse."

"I can't deny I wasn't rooting for her. For a moment it seemed she could defeat this menace. I cheered her on until my voice was hoarse. It wasn't enough. I knew it would happen, but I wanted to hope. Dianthus was a warrior until the bitter end. I hope everyone remembers her as such."
