It is known by the other domains that Merill is the brains behind Sky Cities strange crown. She is a notoriously lovely creature who gleaned many an admirer before her marriage. She is loved by her people and as far as they can tell she shares her king's benevolence. Merill has gone to great lengths to hold up this appearance as the Benevolent Queen. Going so far as to hide her true familiar, and of course dispatching of any dragon that might have the slightest idea about her torrent affair with a Webbed City crime lord. She has taken steps to try and be rid of her air-headed husband. The first time she spiked his drink with pure concentrated absinthe but when that didn't work she turned to sparking his love for the drug instead (in hopes he'd die of poisoning that way) but that hasn't seemed to work either. The citizens of her kingdom believe the green smoke that stains her wings is from her husbands relationship to the green narcotic, but a sharp eye could tell that it more closely resembles the smoke that hangs thickly in The Webbed City's atmosphere. The queen has a very close relationship with her familiar Lovely, the two get along like a house on fire and understand eachother better than anyone else. They are silent menaces and Lovely is never far from Merill even if you don't see them. Besides her familiar the queen has a strong affinity for snakes and keeps many, some of which can be found on her from time to time. Meill has always treated her children with respect, and while their father doted on them she taught them the value of respect and sharpened their minds. The 'orphaned' child that Merill brought into the care of her and her husband was actually a result of her affair that she couldn't bear to part with. The dragonet matched her and her lover in brains and fight, so she took them in. |
