B I O G R A P H Y

______ FierceReaper was one of eleven sisters hatched under a moonless sky. Each hatched with a different element, and they looked to have been mysteriously abandoned. They looked nothing like each other, but called each other sisters anyway- it was all they had. They traveled together, grew up, attempted to learn about the world around them- and discovered how vicious it could be. Many of them died, until only two were left- Lightning and Plague. Both were mirrors, viciously devoted to each other. The plague sister would one day become FierceReaper, and the lightning sister would eventually take the name Verah.

______ The sisters hunted down an imperial who had slain their sister of fire, but during the battle, the weaker and more timid lightning sister was dashed against the cave wall, bones snapping and light going out. The plague sister howled with grief, but was forced to retreat, lest she be killed as well. The imperial followed, and chased her over the course of several days until she set up an ambush and killed him. When she returned to the cave, her final sister's body was gone, and she was alone.

______ Overcome with grief and bloodlust, the plague sister traveled north to the Scarred Wasteland, where she could fit in amongst her own kind. She learned the ways of the plague flight, and took upon herself the name FierceReaper. She was ambitious, seeking power, and this led to her being kicked out of three clans she attempted to join. Typical mirror packs were not enough for her- she wanted something more, something sophisticated. Realizing that she could never seize power in the Scarred Wasteland, she left, keeping an ear open for rumors of promising clans to usurp.

______ Soon, she heard of a good-sized clan of moderate influence in the Shifting Expanse. It was filled with outcasts and oddities, criminals and those deemed defective. She made her way there, picking up several dragons along the way, offering them promises of power. When she reached the territory of the clan, she sent two of her agents, Ciryon and Cohen, in. They reported back, and she was pleased by how easy it would certainly be to take over. She recruited several more dragons, particularly from inside the clan- notably Nyrathla. She reached out to Arvon and Kzemek when Klaeod banished them from the clan, playing upon the bitterness in their hearts that she knew so well.

______ The Insidious, as it came to be called, planned and schemed for a long time, long enough that some of its agents got impatient. Against her better judgement, FierceReaper launched a coup, successfully taking control of the clan for a period of two months. Many of Nyrathla's siblings were slain, several by her own talons, and several Insidious members as well as other clan dragons were killed. They even managed to subdue Selkhenar, the towering "war machine" of the clan- but they had forgotten to account for Ember.

______ Ember and one of Nyrathla's siblings had been speaking to Selkhenar when the attack came, and Selkhenar shouted for them to hide in his skull. Ember didn't hesitate, only leaped in, but Nyrathla's sibling turned to fight, and was killed. When their captors looked away, Selkhenar bade Ember to run, run like he had never run before, run back to the clan of his birth, the clan of Priya, and beg them for salvation.

______ FierceReaper had not been expecting reinforcements from the Scatted Wasteland, particularly from an angry mother whose child, Veltarkon, was in danger. Furious and embarrassed, FierceReaper withdrew the Insidious before they lost too many members. Now, they hide near the border of the Ashfall Waste, licking their wounds and waiting, plotting. Change is on the horizon, FierceReaper can feel it, and she intends to strike while the iron is hot.
