But both being normal mortal beings they kinda stick together and soon becoming close friends - even though Ravi can scare him from time to time …

With the ability to controll the flow of time to some degree Amedeo was always used as a tool. At a young age he was sold and after that locked away until the time for his unique magic to come. They throw him into a cage and barely kept him alive. For them he only was a tool and a such he was treated. And they secured him. The cage itself blocked off his magical energy - he had no control over his abilities for years. Amedeo often questioned himself. He is more than a tool, right? He has more use than controlling the flow of time for some other dragons, right?

One day they tossed a book at him to kept him entertained - a fairytale about a princess and a knight in shining armor who rescue her. How absurd. The time mage knew it was only a fairytale but sometimes he dreamed about a shining knight that would rescue him.
His knight didn’t came alone and they weren’t shining at all - fire and darkness run amok in the dungeon he was held captive and fate decided they set him free for the first time in his life.





Regardless the fact he could go wherever he wanted or do whatever he wanted Amedeo sticked to Jareth and Vena - the burning darkness that rescued him. Held captive for such a long time he doesn’t know what to do with him or how to walk back into society. It was time for his very own first decision - he abandonded a normal life and followed the blood demons into the swampland.
They didn’t treat him like a tool. Jareth bluntly ignores him while Vena seems at first a bit annoyed. He quickly learns that Jareth wasn’t as bad as he thought - he offers refugee to those who don’t seems to fit in and protect them without bonding to much with them.
As for Vena … Amedeo was confused first. The black Skydancer seems to seek out his presence but also don’t really interact with him. Whenever Amedeo practice his magic - to learn it again - Vena was around. Whenever he goes out and wandering the swampland to sorting out his thoughts Vena followed him. Whenever his past haunted the time mage in his sleep Vena was there when he awakes with a scream.
“I’m tired of dashing through the Manor every night just because you got that stupid nightmares. You stay with me from now on!”
After several moons had passed by the nightmares aren’t gone but everytime the time mage awakes in the middle of the night and whimpering into the darkness soft words soathing the pain and black wings folding around him, sheltering him and keeping him save.

Staying in a swampland with nothing more then a pair of blood demons and other strange inhabitants of the Manor Amedeo picked up strange habits of his own. He likes to wander the border of the swamps in daylight and picking up things others throw away. He become a collector of broken toys and tossed away things. At first he tried to repair them but soon realized that they are like him. Broken, tossed away and yet they survived. After he found a broken doll he wanted to repair her at least. She seems to be lovely with a new dress and no cracks crossing her face.
“Don’t. She wouldn’t be herself if you repair her.” Amedeo looked up to Jareth. “But … she could be beautiful again.” It was Vena who answered him this time.
“Tattered and broken with cracks and scars - you are beautiful the way you are.”

The broken doll sits on a shelf above their shared bed - with all her cracks and tattered clothes …
