Biography
In the wilds, they speak her name with both reverence and hatred.
Undragon.
Then again, what is a dragon? Beyond their very soul, what makes them bound to serve under their oaths and lies?
You have heard, then.
Yes, she had heard. Yet she refused the call. She was for the Primal Energy, and she had heard of the vials that blessed dragons with it.
And you want them?
To connect, to the primal state, to the purest form? She craved. She needed. And she would have, for all those who came unto her protection. She was Valinia, after all, and she was a simple fae.
"For what it's worth," Valinia chuckled, "I found your dance to be rather amusing."
"Really?" gasped the small creature, "then you won't eat me?"
"I only eat insects. I don't think silly little beavers would satisfy my appetite."
"Thank goodness," the creature sighed.
"Now that we've moved past that," Valinia raised her head, taking a position of authority. Her gaze hardened, her scales shimmered, she was every bit the healer that she had trained to be. She was Valinia, and she knew what that would mean. Someday. "Where are they?"
The creature hesitated. It didn't wish to offend the dragon, but to see one it considered a predator, offering to help?
"I know," Valinia whispered, "it's okay. I'd be scared too. But I can't help if I don't know where I am looking."
The beaver looked towards a small field. Valinia stood still.
"...In the bushes. Her leg is injured. I just... I can't..."
"It's okay, it's okay," Valinia soothed. "We can do this. Together. Okay?"
"Together?"
"Well," Valinia giggled, "if I'm going to set your love's broken bone, I should teach you how to help her recover."
"Oh."
Valinia bapped the beaver with her snout. "Are you ready to go?"
The beaver nodded, hobbling towards the den. Valinia smiled softly at the eager animal. Was it right, then, for dragons to engage with these beings? She didn't dare to consider.
