Medievalredragon's lair has her grandparents Sanguini and Mistletoe (Christmas Cheer dragons).
Marais' father "Mourner" left the lair to travel to Mysteries Lair because he did not share his parents' enthusiasm for role play and the whole vibe of the Medievalredragon Lair. Mourner was born on Dec 25, 2019 as a "Pointsetta" (gaoler). He did not see the point of celebrating some dead civilization's holidays or even made up ones when there were real dragon holidays.
During his stay at Mysteries, as part of his rejection of his past, he underwent a transformation into a member op the guardian breed and had new genes although his colors stayed the same. He was utterly transformed. There he met his mate, Funeral, and they produced 3 hatchlings.
One their way to send their children to the service of Earthshaker, the hatchlings visited their grandparents at Medievalredragon's lair. One hatchling, Marais, chose to remain with her grandparents - who were at first perplexed at her transformation of their granddragons but accepted them. Her sister and brother insisted on going on to serve the Earthshaker. Marais was fascinated at the weird but fun workings of Medievalredragon's lair. She though that if she became tired of it all, then she could always travel elsewhere or go to serve the Earthshaker too.
Even as a young hatchling, animals like Marais, especially foxes.
