With a thunderous crack that threatens to shake Sornieth's very foundations, the blanketing masses of cloud cover split open, and a pillar of pure electrical energy strikes the ground, superheating the surrounding sand instantly to glass. From the blackened, sizzling crater unfurl two pairs of lightly singed wings.

The air around Freyr is constantly charged, enough to cause any form of electronic device within a certain radius to malfunction. This, and the abnormally high levels of radiation it emits, mean that it has never actually been recorded. Its reclusive nature has led many to believe that it doesn't actually exist, and that the freak meteorological events around Heartpiercer that are often attributed to the electrical entity have a plethora of other explanations.

As a local urban legend, however, Freyr has quite the cult following- literally. The Electric Sages are a recently-formed order of fanatics claiming that the lightning spirit is not only very real, but an emissary of the Stormcatcher sent to bring retribution upon those who have forsaken their faith. Any actual pattern in the incidents that the Sages claim to be Freyr's divine punishment has yet to be established, and the leading theory is that if Freyr does in fact exist, it is in all likelihood not actually on any kind of mission. 		frlightning_sidebar_long_by_littlefiredragon-dbjxz9o.png
