______ Trinket is the result of a spell, conjuring her to life from a tiny sculpture. A trinket, if you will. One day, Yachin, a dragon who draws the arcane power to create life from objects, receives mail on his birthday. A beautiful toy, a nocturne in flight, the size of his hand, made from beautiful amythest with wings sculpted from sparkling lapis. Nobody knows who sent it to him, or why. There was no address nor name. He thought it was just one of the servants being generous without saying so. He placed it on the shelf to his workshop and that was the end of it. Days passed, even years. He then found the love of his life, they had hatchlings, you know the story. He became a father, and in such a short amount of time they left the palace to pursue their own dreams. He grew older, and lonelier. He was looking through his old items when he came across the very same toy. In a desperate atemptt to be a father again, the trinket was alive. A dragon, a beautiful, sparking nocturne in front of him. She looked to be in pain.

______ Everything hurt. Her wings were wrapped around her like a cocoon, as she felt the air sting against her glass scales. What was happening. Why was she here. What was here? Nobody asked her these questions as new dragons rushed into the room, gawking at her figure. She put a paw down, then picking it up to peer at her hand. She turned it around and around, before putting it down and looking at the dragons facing her. She didn’t know what was happening. She was scared. She was cold, she was frightened. Nobody bothered to help her, as she was taught how to be a dragon.
