--The Alchemist--

Gleam has led a tough life for an Arcane dragon. Nature had decided to deal him a doubly bad fate by making him deaf and mostly blind. Such weaknesses were not tolerated by nature of the Starwood Strand, and he was lost, where would surely die. He was alone with nothing but a strong sense of smell and the feel of the ground beneath his feet. Such a bright hatchling would have attracted the attention of any predator.
Luckily, another dragon had scooped him up first. It was another Coatl, this time from the Wind Flight. This other Coatl took him in and taught him to use his nose to identify different smells and find his way around and introduced him to someone from the Arcane flight that would teach him Alchemy. The adult that grew up to be Gleam's father figure didn't have a clan of his own and he figured one would be good for the little guy. So the, now adolescent Gleam was dropped off at a clan that the Coatl knew would take good care of him.
Now he is the Clan's alchemist, one that nobody can match is skill. He's proven himself quite useful several times and nobody in the clan ever doubts his skill.

Gleam was happy, he was the clans head alchemist, he was accepted into the lair like family and he had many heirs, strangely none born with his such ailments.
He spent most of his days teaching them the way of the alchemist, until they grew into great dragons in their own right.
The young alchemists he taught were filled with passion, and their passion filled gleam with hope...and soon gleam decided it was time for him to journey again, but this time it would be alone...
~Gleam’s new home~
It was different... all the dragons were kind, but they were just.. different.
Gleam continued to practice and teach his love of alchemy at his new home, but something was always missing, everyday passing without rhyme nor reason.
...... until he met glimmer.
Glimmer was beautiful, prysmatic, charismatic and wanted by all.
Gleam was blind, he could only see the beauty within...
