Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this mischevious gal wandered a little too far from her home lair sleepyboi #525787, and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

BACKSTORY:The new dragon had arrived the day after Eve and her sisters hatched. From the second they could stand, she and her sisters were troublemakers. Naturally, when Aqua and Violet, the two other hatchlings in the clan, told them about a strange blue dragon in the forest, they had to investigate. However, none of the sisters could find a way to sneak out to the forest to see him. Well, Eve couldn't. As usual, her sisters were being SO ANNOYING and ranting about how SCARY and DANGEROUS it was out there. Why was Eve the only one who had hatched a dragon instead of a cowardly mouse? So while Icicle and Amethyst stayed behind, trying to convince Eve that the Tangled Wood was sooo dangerous and that their clan was the only safe place, Eve had been poking around the barrier, trying to find a good sneaking-out spot.
Which, apparently, there were none of.
This development was rather upsetting for a mischievous hatchling, but Eve knew she would find
a way eventually. Aqua and Violet (mainly Aqua) cheered her up by saying that the blue dragon would obviously be brought to their clan to see Nightshade, and THEN Eve could eavesdrop and learn all his secrets.
So when Willow went outside with her daughters to see the strange blue dragon, Eve
knew the time was almost here. Now that no sneaking outside the safety of their lair was involved, Amethyst and Icicle were getting excited, too. Since it was a top secret super ultra private conversation, according to Icicle, the sisters would probably do best staying hidden while they eavesdropped. Eve wanted to run up and confront the strange dragon and sit there with a determined and fierce expression on her face, but she knew that probably wouldn't end well. She agreed that hiding would be the best way to listen in, so the three hatchlings crawled inside a relatively thornless bush, just their branchlike horns and ears poking out. They were almost invisible.
There was a bit of rustling, and then Aqua and Violet sprinted into the lair, followed by
Willow and a bright blue dragon. He was limping, holding one of his hind limbs off the ground. He had dark, feathered wings and a narrow face. "Woah," Icicle whispered, earning a thump from Amethyst's tail. The new dragon looked around cautiously, eyes sweeping the clearing. He glanced right over the bush where the three sisters were hiding. The dragon's eyes landed on Nightshade slithering quietly towards him. The clan's leader stood up, folding his wings back. "Hello, dragon of wind," he said, dipping his head respectfully. "What brings you here?" Dragon of wind! Eve thought excitedly. He could tell us all about what it's like on the Windswept Plateau! Glancing at her sisters, Eve could see her own excitement reflected on their faces. Although their clan held dragons of many elements, they only had one wind dragon who usually had a grumpy look on her face and generally seemed kind of mean and scary. Plus, all the dragons of different elements seemed content to just forget about their old homes and act as if they were shadow dragons their whole lives (even when their eyes said otherwise). And none of them had the aura that this dragon did, that they had traveled the whole world and then some. He would be fun to talk to- if he talked. Many of the older dragons would shoo hatchlings away, looking busy or irritated. But this one seemed different.
"I am a traveler from the Windswept Plateau," the blue dragon said. "My name is Washington.
I wish for a place to stay a while." Nightshade tipped his head slightly. "A traveler, you say? What lands have you been to?" Although he tried to look mature and very leaderlike, on the inside, Nightshade was really a curious hatchling, wanting to know EVERYTHING there was about the whole universe. He was rather like Eve, in fact, although he seemed like an arcane dragon in a shadow dragon body, which Eve was NOT. In fact, she rather disliked the Arcane flight. Something about them creeped her out, although she wasn't sure what. "I've been to the Shifting Expanse and the Viridian Labyrinth," Washington replied. Eve tried her best to remember the map of Sornieth she had studied earlier this morning. The Viridian Labyrinth was almost directly north of the Tangled Wood, and both regions were on the opposite side of the continent from the Shifting Expanse and the Windswept Plateau. He really has been all over!
The three adult dragons went on about adult stuff blah blah regions and clan customs
blah blah SO BORING. Eventually, though, after a Big Huge Grand Tour, Washington was left alone for a bit. "Now's our chance!" Amethyst said. She was usually the best-behaved of the three, but Eve knew that her curiosity was beating that well-behaved part of her. Icicle poked her head out of the bush, looking around, then darted out, motioning for the others to follow. The three Gaoler sisters rushed out to where Washington was and stopped just short of crashing into him. "WOAH! You're so much BIGGER up close! Ooh, your scales are SO BRIGHT." Amethyst's eyes were shining and she could hardly sit still. The wind dragon looked down at them, rather startled yet amused at the same time. "Well, considering you are hatchlings and I am not, it makes sense that I'm bigger than you," he said, "And I suppose I am a rather bright blue. You're probably wondering where I came from, aren't you?" The three sisters nodded in unison, making the older dragon laugh. "Alright, I suppose I could tell you..."
The three sisters listened intently to Washington's tale, Eve perhaps the most intent. She
knew she was the only one who wanted to go all over the continent and actually see the wonderful lands Washington described. Her sisters were fine just listening to his stories all day long and never actually leaving the Tangled Wood. Day after day, Eve returned to hear his stories over and over again, even after her sisters lost interest.
When Eve was four days old, a new traveler came in, staring wide-eyed at the shadowy
clearing. This one's name was Moon, and although she was rather shy, Eve managed to get some of her story out, which only made her want to explore more.
Two days later, when Eve, Amethyst, and Icicle were six days old, Eve made her decision.
She was going to travel across Sornieth, to gather stories and knowledge, to explore and see for
herself the magical lands the travelers described.
And her journey started now.

FIRST DIARY ENTRY: After a few weeks of my new adventure, I met some lovely dragons who told me about The Highlands, and their famous Engineers. I had to see it myself!
The Highlands greeted me with cheer, and I should say, Highlanders greeted every guest like this. They are very calm on the outside, but I can tell you after living here for that long - they have fire in their soul! They love to give all their love and care to travelers - the ones who are in search of themselves yet.
I lived in a small guest house room - those are free for travelers, and almost every day I was walking around districts, and every evening I met new dragons at a tavern "One for the Road".
As the most impressive thing I saw here I would like to mention their Watermill. There are not so many dragons, there are a few generations of one family, but I will always remember this beautiful river, giant wooden wheel, and friendly faces. And their grandma's cookies.
I love this place, but I don't think I will find home here. And my search continues...
