Pax was born to a family of warriors who just couldn't understand why he didn't want to continue in their footsteps. He has always been a peaceful creature since his hatching and wants nothing more than to help others. He also never really considered himself much of a leader or a warrior, which irritated his clan. Because of this, he was cast out of his original clan and wandered for many years in hopes of becoming a part of a clan who would accept him for this. He was found by Firebrand on one of his excursions to sell goods. He then invited the exhausted and hungry Skydancer to come back to the Starfall Isles where he would be presented with a meal and a place to bed down until he could get back. He was touched by clan's kindness that he asked if he could possibly come to stay with them. The clan agreed, and made Pax their ambassador and peaacemaker who would journey with Cyan, the clan matriarch, to help in settling disputes among other clans. He considers the Comet Callers to be like his family

Pax's kind and gentle nature has made him a favorite among the clan not only with mediating disputes both within and beyond the clan, but also with keeping up with the hatchlings. He helps to guard the nests and is more than happy to babysit if needed. He also helps take care of the familiars and works to help in healing them if they are injured or fall ill. Be warned, though; should a hatchling or clan member be in danger, Pax will do everything in his power to help protect his surrogate family and the friends he has come to make among them. Although his diet consists of insects as well as plants, Pax prefers to stick to a more vegetarian diet. His most prized possession is a traveller's runestone that Cyan gave to him as a good luck charm on his journeys
