. Amethyst gazed out of the cave and out into the ocean. The sea glimmered in the brilliant sun. “Amethyst! Get back in the cave! It is time for our school time.” One of the older dragons called. Amethyst sighed. She didn’t want to study anymore about the idiot of a deity the rest of the clan worshiped. Sure the Arcanist was very smart knowledge wise but he almost destroyed the world. Twice. But Nevertheless Amethysts clan would never stop mooning over the Arcanist. Amethyst walked over to the other dragons and sat down for another boring lesson on the history of the arcane clan.
Late that night Amethyst woke up to the sound of pouring rain and thunder. Trees shook in the ferocious wind. Amethyst got up and sat in the entrance of the den. The rain dropped on her face and the lightning danced across the sky. Suddenly a gust of wind blew under Amethyst’s wings and she felt the urge to fly. Amethyst’s clan discouraged flying unless going somewhere important so Amethyst had never flown in her life. The wind carried Amethyst through the clouds and around the mountains. “AMETHYST! GET DOWN HERE!” A dragon roared. Amethyst looked down and saw her mother looking at her angrily. “No! I’m tired of your rules and your stupid deity! I’m going out on my own!” Amethyst shouted back. She flew farther away and soared over the ocean.
After several days Amethyst came across a handsome wildclaw. “Hi...” she said shyly. The other dragon jumped back. “Oh! You scared me! Hi!” “I’m Amethyst what’s your name?” Amethyst asked. “I’m MornFlare. Short for MourningFlame.” “Oh... uh interesting name.” “Yeah. Storm named me that after one of her friends sons got taken. I ended up getting taken too... but Storm bargained with the Tidelord and here i am!” “Who is Storm?” “Oh... she’s the Queen if the StormWing clan. Oh here she comes now!”MornFlare said with a smile. A grey and green guardian flew over to the two dragons and rolled her eyes. “MornFlare. I told you not to talk to everyone on the way home.” She said with a smile. “I’m kidding. He’s very shy compared to SOMEONE I know. I’m Storm by the way.” “Oh. Hi. Who’s that little cutie?” Amethyst asked. “Saffire. She is a trouble maker that’s for sure.” Storm said helping Saffire climb onto her neck. “Amethyst...? Do you have a clan?” MornFlare asked. “No. I ran away.” “Join us then!” Storm suggested. “What flight are you in?” “WaTeR. The best element obviously.” “Ok I’ll come.” “Great!!!” MornFlare exclaimed. He grinned and Storm lifted off. Amethyst followed the others into the sea.
Soon after arrival Storm saw Amethysts powerful arcane magic and asked her to be the arcane representative. At first she refused but after a long moment she agreed. MornFlare begged for the position of Water rep. Storm agreed. During the arcane festival Amethyst even got to see the Arcanist as a representative. To this day she works as a member of the council and a warrior. She lives happily with her children and MornFlare.
