Muriel Gemcutter "The devil is in the detail." Outpost Resident  Muriel's gaze is as intense and vivid as the gems he manipulates, his manner cold and sterile. He stalks from one side of the lair to the other, carrying materials and craft-orders with the air of an unbreakable duty, coldly hissing at any who dare to block his path. He has little respect for the Carnelian Clan as a whole, but will maintain his own support through the production of beautifully crafted gems just as long as they keep supplying the raw materials. He has little interest in the profit gained from their sale, but remains obsessed with achieving the perfect cut, a gem without flaw. And what he considers a flaw, he won't say, just that he hasn't created one without it yet. |

==History==
Muriel had left his last clan because of 'creative differences', differences that Shamshir was evidently happy to ignore while securing his services for Carnelian. He speaks little of the past, though he was once mated to a ridgeback of some renown. ==Relationships== Muriel gets on badly with just about everyone, even his direct superiors. He just can't seem to muster the effort for even the most rudimentary courtesy, and it's only the immense wealth that he generates that keeps his position secure. The only dragon he'll unbend for, even slightly, is Mere, who shares his only other passion of stargazing. When the Crimson Caravan is in town, the two of them can often be found sitting at the very highest point of the sunroof, gazing silently out at the starlit desert sky. Genes wanted: None.
