Nycticorax

The night raven.

Originally a clever mage from the arcane lands, and proud to show his heritage. He's surprisingly hard to read, unpredictable, and with that, also a little dangerous. He mostly prefers to live his own life, discovering strange energies dragons of different elements could not pick up.

What most don't know is that his capricious behaviour came to be because he accidentally got in touch with energies that had better been left undiscovered. Ever since that unfortunate day, he has become much more violent. Luckily, his best friend, the Death Seeker, does not mind this at all. The two have become partners in crime, so to speak.

When his clanmates discovered this change in attitude, Eclipsis, the clan's other Arcane mage, casted a spell on him to prevent him from going insane. Although Eclipsis tried to reverse the effects of the dark energies, this turned out to be impossible. Having no other choice, the clan had to find the best way to deal with Nycticorax' current condition. Although this proved to be very difficult, he has now found his place as the protector of the borders from violent beastclans, and dragons often join him in his battles to learn a thing or two from his superior combat tactics.
