The Astronomer turned her starry eyes to the horizons, unaware of her frail, emaciated body and its surroundings. For years she remained in a once-gleaming observatory, her health waning as her eyes grew brighter.
Then, all at once, the spell was broken. She looked about in horror at the ruins surrounding her, feeling the weight of dust and neglect on her tattered wings.
How long had she been stargazing?
The horizons still called to her, a sweet melody that promised knowledge and belonging, but she turned away, fearful of falling under their spell again.
The countryside has changed so much, and Lune is so weak. She can't go back to the observatory. There must be a place for her in this strange, new world.
