Biography
"Hey look what I found." Photos triumphantly burst into the clearing. Ryot looked up from where she was sitting under a canopy.
"You know Calliope will throw a fit if she knew you were hunting in the rain again. Get over here before you catch a cold."
"Only if you agree to come see this."
Ryot stood with a sigh to look at whatever Photos was dragging behind her. The spiral moved to the side to let the fae get a better view.
On the grass lay a young wildclaw. His bright red skin was shining in the soft forest rain, giving him a gentle, even polish. His crest was soaked and his ribs showed through on the sides.
"I found him by an umberberry patch." The spiral's many eyes blinked back rainwater as she turned to Ryot.
"Well he must not be from around here. Otherwise he would have known to stay away from those."
The spiral nodded. "That's kind of my thought process too. Should I go get Calliope?"
"Might be wise. I'll put him under some cover if you'll go grab her."
The spiral sped off and Ryot grabbed one of the wildclaw's wings. Once she moved him out of the weather, she sat down and watched him breathe quietly. Thin scars were the only mar to his metallic sheen on his body. The marks were so small the dents caught in the light of the mushrooms in Ryot's lantern were the only tell-tale sign of them.
"Ugh. This weather. It's going to take forever for me to dry." A blue-green tundra strode to the canopy and nodded to Ryot. "I assume this is our newcomer? Unless someone managed to find more." She smiled and opened the pouch on her hip and began to pull out various healer's instruments.
"I found him next to some underberry bushes." Photos joined them.
"Well if that's all he should sleep them off in a few hours. Any idea how long he had been there?"
The spiral shook her head.
"Well, other than how skinny he is, I'd say our visitor is healthy enough. Let me know if there are any problems when he wakes up." The tundra nodded with satisfaction at her own once over of the wildclaw before sighing as thunder cracked above and then once again making her way through the rain.
