An interesting creature. There's something off about her, she looks like any other dragon for the most part, a Guardian to be specific. She never speaks, only stares. A terrifying power radiates from her and, poor Brosben, tried to sneak into the lair and didn't last very long against her. His ashes and bones are still out there by the bramble walls, the skull hanging neatly from one of the massive thorns like a sick trophy. She actually plucked and hung his skull! There are so many others, some dragon and other bestial! Maybe this clan isn't worth probing, I sure don't get paid enough to pinch things from places like this! Damn Percos and his ideas, may he be devoured by these winged terrors!

She really does look like some kind of mutated Guardian, the scant reports we've gotten are accurate after all! What we did learn from overheard conversations is, besides being an absolute terror, she apparently acts somewhat like a normal dragon. She's raised offspring -well, whatever mate she's had raised offspring- and she interacts -silently- with those of this clan like nothing is off. No one seems bothered by her strange and unnatural features or that she hangs that skulls of her ~~victims~~ prey from those massive thorns. I won- [The page is too deteriorated to read]

A beast of uncertain origin taking the form of a female Guardian. Observational, intelligent, and devastatingly powerful in combat. She appeared at the call of the clan Shadow Minister, Shaza, when the survivors of what was once the Arcanium Syndicate began their treacherous journey through the domain of the Shadowbinder and has acted as their silent protector ever since at the gates of the lair. Warnings left behind in the form of damaged personal effects, scattered bones and feathers, and skulls of would-be assailants placed upon the thorns like trophies are scattered about the great bramble are often enough to both mark the location to friends and a grim reminder of what awaits at the gates.

She's followed the clan from the Tangled Wood to the Scarred Waste with no change in purpose, the only changes that have taken place is the guild that has grown around her. She sees to the personal selection of those that will serve under her with seemingly barbaric tests and neigh impossible training. Those that have survived or persevered through the trials follow her unspoken orders through not yet entirely understood methods, the ones that she has deemed worth her truest favor act as her voice. Between her own powerful magics and access to the mutagens of the Plaguebringer's realm, her chosen "Eyes" undergo a horrific ritual that twists their bodies and molds them into the perfect soldiers to defend the lair. Plague Minister Putress oversees the direction and care taken in this ritual called Rite of the Harbinger, carefully studying each result and perfecting the various concoctions and magics used. The Watcher simply observes and bestows her silent blessing upon those the rise and embrace their new gifts.

I managed to get in and investigate the newcomers like you requested, Tembrok, by the Lightweaver, they aren't natural! Just about every dragon dwelling in this barren waste has been twisted in ways I don't even think the Plaguebringer would have caused! Some have been mutated by the land and the contaminated magics yet, most of the mutations appear to have been through twisted arcane experimentation. I've included sketches and what other observations I've managed and have sent them ahead of this letter. I will be slipping through and leaving this place soon as I can, I'll be ready to give a full report upon arriving home. Say hello to my mate and let them know I'm safe and coming home. - Fenkelly
