ORIGINS

These ancient sea dieties recently came out of hiding with the rest of their Gaoler brethren, emerging from the ice fields as their kin melted away and broke free. Some also arose from the depths of the sea, frozen deep below the surface in the trenches.

The Sea Skimmers were typically of the Seeker order. As such, they spend much of their life scoping out large breadths of the sea to figure out what is hiding, and protecting their brethren from the Shade. In modern dragon clans, this makes them useful as ocean cartographers, discovering and protecting new lands for clans in the Thousand Currents. They excel in battle under the water and make perfect guards for their clan's dens.

They are adapted with their fans to glide powerfully through the water, just near the surface to capture their prey. Their hex patterns and blue/green colorings create the perfect camouflage for their gliding just beneath the surface. Some have a daub pattern, adapted specifically for algae ridden swamps and murky areas.
The ancient beastclans and now the modern ones whisper rumors of people disappearing in the water. Even with others nearby they never get a chance to see what is hunting them until it's too late.






Overseer to the prison for Tidelord's Tear, which holds both Horrorbeasts and dragon criminals. Even though his element is wind, his body is pure water-beast material. Instead, his wind magic propels him even faster through the water and draws air from the water to breathe.

Through the gloom and despair he witnesses, his familiar, Brill, brings him light and hope as her jewel that hangs as a pendant around his neck.
