This story is not from Aphrodisia's POV
Peering through the crystalline, turquoise water, you can just see in the cave. Out from it glowed natural light, but obviously from no natural light source. Lazily wading with your six limbs, you look around for any sign of a trap. Nothing but a statuesque Pearlcatcher, pearl clutched in her arms while she looks towards the surface with a hallowed air about her. You idly float towards the silent opening, and only then do you realize the Pearlcatcher is in fact, not petrified, as she turns her head toward you. You startle a bit, nodding at her. The water blessed dragon you met earlier had given you the ability to breathe underwater, but not a voice to speak with. It was all she could do.
The Pearlcatcher looks at you, purple eyes dark with... some emotion you cannot comprehend. You feel a twinge in your heart, of sadness, anger, and adoration. She speaks, and youforce yourself to tear your eyes away, emotions from the trance fading.
Her voice, is quiet, yet crisp. "You are young. Turn away, for this place is not meant for you. Only those who despair can reach my lady's heart, and in your heart lies no reason for your presence here." She stares, expecting a response. So she was some sort of empath as well. You open your mouth and nothing but a small stream of bubbles comes out. A beat of silence passes.
You wade closer, with purpose. She raises a brow, but makes no move to stop you. You pass her with a sad smile, conveying with your eyes what you cannot with your mouth. Her stoic expression falters a bit, showing a sliver of what you had seen earlier. She turns hastily away just as the cave walls obscure her from you.
Going down the long corridor of brightly coloured crystals, you notice that the water is becoming thicker as you go down. The light gradually fades, until the new light source deep in the cave is now surrounding you. Perhaps a half hour later, you arrive at an opening, towards a huge room. You enter cautiously, and pause.
There she sits, in the center of the cavity. Light glows ethereally, from no apparent light source, but natural as the suns. What surrounds you is uneven walls lined with multi-coloured crystals. Each one refracts light, creating a dazzling visual that is all too distracting.

Her voice echoes around you, swaddling you in a blanket of silky timbre.
"Do you care for me?"
You look at the ground. Her silver scales cast crystalline shapes on it, making it look intangible and surreal. Suddenly, the ability to speak comes to you. It feels odd, speaking through water, but your voice carries. "I do not know you. Your heart and mind are mystery to me, and I cannot care for something I have just met, no matter how encapsulating. My apologies, Great Goddess."
You feel a claw under your chin, entirely holding the potential to be sharp but holding you just so, lift your head to meet her pale green eyes. She stares.
You stare back. A wave of emotion hits you. It's something you feel a lot, but only from the broken and weary. Tears spring to your eyes from the intensity, but the water washes is away as if it never happened. Aphrodisia does not notice, or doesn't say anything.
She holds your gaze, tender with emotion. "You do not hold any malice, yet your words ring true." Her eyes are towards the entrance, with sadness engulfing her elegant features. "When dragons come into this cave, they are looking for the wish that only I can grant. You... why are you here, fair one?" She looks back at you, expectantly.
"I am on a journey. Towards what, I do not know, but I find more meaning in it everyday. I was led here by some force that has been leading my entire journey." You pause. "The beings I meet are always in need of something. An item, a favour, sometimes even a friend. I provide my services to these individuals, as long as it's within my ability, or comfort."
