Biography

.Mervene.

“Teaching kids how to feed themselves and how to live in a community responsibly is the center of an education.” ― Alice Waters

Mervene is a rice farmer and cattle wrangler that resides with her husband, Zitri, on a farm just within the Rebel City walls. She is a lot more intimidating than her soft and social husband, but she is just as affectionate to those she cares about.

Originally from a large family, most of whom have been exalted, Mervene grew up around a lot of hardship, but also a lot of affection. Hard work always paid off, so she always lives with the idea that everyone should earn what they have. She supports dragons like Dawneve, who made something for themselves through effort and trails, but dragons like Augustine make Mervene's scales crawl. She is jokingly called an anarchist, a socialist, or anything to try and demean her ideology. It's fair to say that she is a believer in the saying "Eat the Rich". Yet, before she can get into any fights with dragons about the morals of wealth distribution, Zitri pulls her away. She and Zitri met when she was still a young dragon, and he was newly grown. Both so close in age, and so far apart, they decided to remain friends until they grew up. Soon after Mervene grew up, they kindled a romantic relationship and then got married not long after.

Being the larger of the two dragons, Mervene is often subjected to being used as Zitri's bed. However, amongst their little nest of pillows and burlap sacks, in the middle of their crowded room adorned with pictures and artifacts from their relationship, Mervene couldn't be happier.
