(Lore In-Progress) As a hatchling, he was fascinated with travelers' tales of adventure and treasures. However, his fellow Gaolers laughed at his desire to have adventures of his own. Instead of confining himself to a prison, he resolves to forge his own destiny by trekking across Sorneith.

Notes:

Zaris first came across his familiar in the Tangled Wood. He found it ensnared on some branches and freed it in the hopes of trading it for provisions. The spirit inhabiting the cape, however, had other plans. It draped itself around his shoulders and refused to allow him to remove it. What started as a begrudging alliance soon blossomed into a friendship. He can often be seen wearing it as he travels.

Whenever he comes across other Gaolers on the road, Zaris always tells them that he is part of the Seeker Order, even though he's not. He is not ashamed of his adventurous exploits but would rather avoid confrontation with his brethren. However, he is perfectly fine sharing his passion with dragons of other breeds.

Zaris isn't actually present in Ravenguard very often. Most of his days are spent on the roads of Sorneith, seeking adventure. He selected Ravenguard as his base of operations since it is so far away from his original home in the Sunbeam Ruins. He often stops there for only a few days to rest and gather provisions before setting off for the unknown again.
