Biography
Unlike his stunning mother, his proud father or his gentle grandfather, Crane is weak. His body is thin and gangly, looking like nothing but scales and bones. His limbs are a tad longer than the average imperial, which also makes him look rather spidery.
As a hatchling, Crane was weak and sickly, causing his fretting grandfather to watch over him constantly. It wasn't uncommon for Sparrow to have him on his back at all times when he was still small enough to do so. He could even now still in fact, with Crane being as thin and light as he is. But there IS something worth noting about him besides his sickly appearance. And that has to be his wings and eyes.
His wings are LARGE. Bigger than the average imp. Because of this though, and his weak body, he can not fly. But he walks with such a steady grace despite it. And with his wings always so folded as neatly as they could against his side, it earned him the name 'Crane'. And his eyes, one is the traditional plague red, as he was born in the plague clan 'Saeva Renatus', but one is the naturally dark and vibrant nature green. 'A little gift from his father and grandmother' Sparrow will often say.
The lei around his neck is also a gift from his grandmother and also reflects his health. On days where he is well and fine, they are bright and vibrant and full of such life you can smell their sweet scent from across the lair. But on days where he is ill and confined to his den, they begin to wilt and brown at the tips. Should the flowers ever die and petals break, it would be a bad omen on Crane's fate. He also has a pile of stuffed animals constantly given to him by Miasma. He loves the imperial dearly. He is also mated with the clan's spell weaver, Miracle. Both of them grew up together in the nursery, since they were both sickly. But unlike his mate, Crane never grew much better or gained back much strength. He doesn't mind it though, as he's under the loving and constant care of his mate and family
The steelhound that always seems to stick his side lately is a new addition to the clan. He was a gift from 'someone dear', as Crane would say. Crane affectionately named the hound Scout, as it has a tendency to bound off ahead of Crane to make sure whatever area Crane felt like walking through or resting in is completely safe, before happily bounding back to walk or rest beside him. The steelhound seems to understand Crane's state of being, as it's VERY protective of him, and also very patient. Seems like his grandmother has taken a liking to the hound, as it's not uncommon to see vibrant green vines growing up his paws and legs
