Biography
You walk up to the patriarch and he smiles subtly.
Gridlock is a man of few words.
He was of unknown origin when he appeared in the Shadow Flight. He was simply trying to keep up with his siblings- that's all. But blown off course by a storm, he found himself swallowed by the clouds and tossed around in a dangerous mix of thunder and lightning. Having been spit out the other end after what seemed like an eternity, struggled to right himself. His ears ached and flight bladder churned with disorientation- or hunger, he didn't know which. With very little fight left in him, he closed his eyes of his scattered sight and mouth of his bellows to let fate take him where it may.
Before he hit the harsh, jagged earth, he was rescued by a young female named Galewind. She grabbed him from the air, and steered them into a small pond to help break their fall. Under the misty shadow of darkness, the two emerged from the pond and Gale led him to her small den. He never spoke a word after- a hushed promise he made while falling that he'd give nearly anything for a second chance at life. With the help of fate, Gale learned to understand him and they went forward as friends and life partners.
From then on, he was known as the patriarch and found of the Qib Liar, named after the storm that brought him and Galewind together. He watches over the dragons with protective fondness, never speaking, but always caring. With Galewind at his side, he welcomes all outcasts of other flight affiliations into his home so that they may find theirs.
One day he hopes to have an heir overtake his reign....
