Scythe Kamaitachi Wind-Up Key Crystal Quartz
Quartz is a young and sprightly Gaoler gal from a Fire-clan father and a Lightning-clan mother- she learned metalworking from her father (and she's quite good at it), but shares a true passion for music with her mother, and dreams of being a musician. She especially loves the loud, amplified guitars used by some Lightning bands, as much of an...acquired taste as they may be for some other members of the clan.

Quartz's outgoing and bombastic attitude belies a soft heart, and she's very much a "big sister" friend, especially to Jera. Protective by nature, she'll (often literally) leap to the defense of her beloved friends, claws and crystal spines at the ready. Plus, her hot-blooded go-getter attitude leads her to be a natural at cheering people on! Even if things don't quite come as easy to other dragons as they do to her. "JUST DO IT!" isn't always the soundest advice, Quartz!

Sometimes she'll pluck off her smaller Shardhide gems, or just pick them up when they occasionally fall off on their own, and use them in jewelry. Luckily for her, they grow back. (And fortunately, when they're that small, removing them isn't painful. The large ones definitely aren't coming out, though!)
