Mavi is a protector and a fearsome one at that. Murmurs of his iron-clad gaze and thundering roars fill the streets of Wayfare and Windsinger's Haven, reaching the ears of travelers on their way between the two cities. And though the rumors appear exaggerated and best, those who had the unfortunate experience of coming snout-to-snout with Mavi will swear by those tales. His arcane eyes glow in the darkness, fueled by his unending wrath, his wings harness the darkness themselves, his body spans thousands of miles, and his teeth are dripping with blood from his victims.

However, Mavi sees himself less as a terrorist of the plains and more as a guardian of the roads. As a "gentle" soul, Mavi makes a point to only harm travelers with malevolent intentions. Of course, he knows that a regular wanderer has to be frightened every now and then to keep up appearances, but one is more likely to cross peacefully than be disturbed.

His lifestyle as an Independent is relatively simple, and his lair is made by a quiet branch of the brook. He tolerates the other Independents as long as they leave him unbothered. But even though he made his decision to live out the rest of his life in the wildness of the Stormfrey Plains, a piece of him will always belong to Wayfare, his home town, and to Arrosa, the lover he slowly drifted apart from.
