Garnet

'One two three, one two three'. You keep murmuring the numbers under your breath as you slowly decend the hill you were climbing on. Your heart skips a beat though as you hear a branch snap near you. Wildly you pivit in place trying to place where the snap came from but you are unable to locate it. You brush it off as a deer but continue warily down the rocky path. To be honest you aren't quite sure where it is you are trying to get to, but all you know is that you have to get away. Away from the guilt trips, the pity looks given to you when they think you aren't looking. Your sick of it, tired of all of it piling onto your shoulders and weighing you down.
You stop at a clearing and take a moment to close your eyes and catch your breath. When you open them you are suprised to see a pair of eyes looking into yours, you take a quick step backwards only to trip across a loose root. The person lets out a soft laugh at your accident and holds their hand out to you.
"You ok? Didn't mean to scare ya, was just hunting and noticed you climbing down the hill."
You take in the looks of the stranger and notice he isnt that bad looking, besides the fact of him being thin as a bean stalk and just as tall as one. He lifts you up easily though even though you must weigh a good couple pounds more then him.
"My names Kaladin, what about you?" He gives you this smile that reaches his eyes but isn't a full blown grin.
You give him a wary look but non the less tell him in a hushed voice.
"Garnet." You hate the name your parents gave you the day you were born, too many jokes given at your extent if you wear a color anything garnet related. He pulls you out of your thoughts by saying in a sweet voice a compliement about your name.
"Thanks, yours isn't too bad either." He laughs and rubs the back of his neck in an akaward way.
"So are you headed anywhere in particular, or looking for a group?" He says the last part quietly as though afraid to ask. To be honest you didn't even think about joining one of the houndreds of groups throughout the forest, the only thought on your mind was get away now.
"Hadn't planned that far ahead, why?" Is he trying to ask you to join his group? He must be in one considering the state of his clothes, they weren't completely dirty, just clearly not machine washed in a good while.
"Oh well, the group Im in always is up to take in the strays if your interested? If you pull your own weight everything works great."
"Sure?" Why did you say that? This man, This complete stranger asks you to join his tent group in the woods and you say sure?
"Great! The walk is just a bit farther this way, follow me!"

You smile softly at the memory of arriving in the once small but now large 'tent group'. You turn slightly to your left to see a dark brown mop of hair laying next to you sleeping soundly, letting out light snores every so often. Your hand traces lightly at deep scars marring the otherwise cream white skin. You scoot closer to his warmth and let out a low sigh before closing your eyes.

You are 5'7, chubby but not fat, about 165 pounds if you had to guess. You have thick hair that is down to your chest, the color is a light pink peach color that changes depending on the dye you use that month. You have a round face covered in freckles with a slim nose that slightly upturns. You have dimples even with the smallest of smiles.
