Biography
Lohindath staggered. "Diadem?" she cried out, but her sister wasn't there. "Diadem!" They'd been in the midst of a spirited discussion, when suddenly she'd felt an overwhelming dizziness, still making her head whirl. Had she blacked out for a moment? She sat down abruptly, holding her spinning head. As her vertigo slowly dissipated, her breathing slowed and she was once again able to take in her surroundings. Not only was there no sign of any other dragon nearby, but now she was also realizing her environment had changed. It was almost as she remembered, but … something wasn’t right! She closed her eyes and tried to visualize the scene before… before …
“Who the heck are you??” broke in an unexpected voice “And how did you get in here?” Lohindath’s eyes flew open in alarm - but it was only a Fae. The Fae in question glared, as if she could hear that “only” in the Skydancer’s mind. Aerialth had been patrolling the skies overhead when she caught an unusual flash of colored light and went to investigate. Probably just one of Serenath’s experiments gone awry … She could not have been more surprised to find a stranger! So far as she knew, the Keep Away spell was still fully in force … “Please, if you don’t mind, where IS here?” the new dragon asked meekly. “I’m … feeling a bit disoriented!”
Oh, no, this wasn’t good. Definitely an outsider. That should not have been possible! She’d have to report to Frinth immediately, and get the council together … Aerialth caught the other’s expectant look. Right. “This is WindSky Weyr”, she finally answered, and observed a very real look of confusion appear on the other’s face. “And you are …?” “Lohindath. And I don’t know where my home is.” “Well, I’m afraid to say, this is your home now. I’m Aerialth, and you are an anomaly! Come with me, we have some digging to do!”
Lohindath hoped she meant that figuratively, but followed readily. There was definitely something strange going on.
It took some time to piece it together, but eventually the reason for her presence became clear, as Hollindath's disappearance was discovered, and several of the mages came forward, independently reporting a strong and unusual disturbance in the local magical energies they had noted around the time Lohindath was discovered. It seems she had been caught in the backlash of a powerful transport spell, and snatched from her home to correct an imbalance of forces that were the result. So now she was stuck, whether she wanted to or not, due to their quarantine for the safety of those around them.
She'd try to make the best of it, and hoped she didn't fall victim to the illness still raging.
