Biography

He was bright, like a flame, like the glimmer of gold. He stood out among the softer, cooler hues of the rest of the clan. His pearl glimmered like no jewel she had seen before.

Drawn to him, but shy to approach, she flitted around him, always near, but at a distance -- letting him get his bearings as a new member. Unlike most, he had arrived as an adult from another clan, another flight, another life. He had an air of worldliness that she envied.

One day, she could avoid him no longer.

"I am Hyperion."

"Hyperion", she breathed. A soft and windy name, suited to his new clan's flight. Yet it could suit none more perfectly than he.

"What is your name?" his voice was softer than she expected, and a little... warbly?

"I... don't know yet."
