Serpens

Miss Hyssop's store was the only home he'd ever known, but there had always been a part of him that wondered what kind of world was out there. He'd never been brave enough to venture out on his own, but before he knew what he was doing, he found his little wings carrying him out the door after Maybelle's intrepid group.

The whole adventure was like a dream - scampering through shadowy streets, soaring to new heights above the Sunbeam Ruins, risking it all to save a forgotten doll - and yet here they stood, somehow already at this journey's end.

(Or perhaps, their new beginning?)

His voice is quiet and unsteady. It would've been easily lost among the pleading voices of his fellow dolls, but the Lightweaver hears all who make an earnest plea.

Clasping his tiny paws together, he whispers for the first time,

" O, mighty Lightweaver... I never thought of myself as very adventurous or strong, but I've seen some truly beautiful things on this journey, and done some very good things, too. " (Serpens thinks of Percy, remembering the first time he felt like he had made a tangible difference for someone else. It warms his soft little chest.) " I... I want to be able to do more of that! Please! "
