Ralabast's Clan
Emmerich awoke one morning to find himself in a strange cave, surrounded by unfamiliar faces and nursing an incredible headache. The dragon directly tending to him could obviously sense his confusion, and introduced herself as Kagan before the Imperial could think to panic. She was a gruff and succinct dragon, but her attention to Emmerich's wounds was as gentle as could be. Kagan explained to him that he had been found on the edge of her clan's territory, totally unconscious and sporting an impressive head injury. She had thought he was dead at first, or at least severely brain-damaged, but seeing him awake and aware was a very encouraging sign.

After a long moment, Emmerich regretted letting Kagan down by admitting that something was indeed wrong with him: he had no memories. Trying to recall anything from before his awakening mere moments ago was useless, and only served to aggravate his headache more. Kagan suggested that it may be trauma-related, and that a few good days of rest may serve to jog his addled brain, but she didn't sound hopeful.

Emmerich spent a good few weeks with the dragons of Ralabast's Clan, enjoying the variety of personalities that make up the strange group. Despite the fact that his memories remain a painful black hole, he found some happiness in making new connections. Kagan became an especially close friend of his, and the two spent several hours talking about distant lands and fantastical beasts over herbal tea.

These stories sparked something within Emmerich's fractured mind, and he eventually came to the conclusion that it was time for him to move on. He was never meant to be here in this clan.... Maybe he'd find some hint of his past if he sets off again in search of whatever destiny had him traveling in the first place. Everyone was reluctant to let him leave, especially Kagan, but he could not be swayed. He packed a bag of supplies offered to him by the clan, including a large bundle of his favorite tea leaves, and steeled his resolve as he set out into the world for the first time once again.

Mount Kaishal
His journey led him to a lone mountain surrounded by a sprawling bamboo forest; it was so tall, he wasn't sure he'd be able to fly to the top. Luckily, the clan who resided in the territory had made their home mostly at the base, where Emmerich stopped in.

The Imperial soon found his way to Merengue's café, owned and run by the aforementioned dragon. The Gaoler who served him was one of the strangest he had come across, even with his missing memories. Quiet and gentle, the two slowly became friends over cups of tea and plates of delicate sweets. It was all lovely, but Emmerich eventually found himself growing restless yet again. And so, with kind goodbyes, he took off in search of that great unknown which was still calling to him.

CLAN NAME
It was a peculiar flight in the dark. Deciding to land, he was able to find a illuminated area thanks to patches of mushrooms. Soon after a Fae approached him to hear his story. She introduced herself as Mab. Emmerich stayed for some time, trying to regain his memories, as Mab led her growing clan. None of their testing seemed to lead to success, so the Imperial decided to once again travel after thanking his new friends for their aid.

Void Hotel
Emmerich seemed to have wandered too far: the deeper and deeper he went into this forest, the more lost and tired he became. Suddenly, a lamp flickered to life before him. Lifting his exhausted head, he saw a Guardian dressed in dark knight's armor. The Guardian observed him a moment in silence. Emmerich could not summon the energy to speak, and after another long moment, the Guardian sighed. He glanced over his shoulder, then without a word led Emmerich out of the forest. With every step away from its dark interior, Emmerich could feel energy returning to him. At its edge, he looked back; his savior, barely visible in the shadows, watched him seriously. Emmerich bowed his head to him, knowing he'd avoided a great danger.

Lantern Corridor and Brightleaf Ward
On his journeys, Emmerich had heard multiple rumors about dragons in Lantern Corridor in Hewn City who could find all sorts of information - but they were ruthless criminals. He didn't at all like the idea of dealing with such dragons, but he decided he didn't have a choice but to go there and see what he could find out.

After calling far too much attention to himself and narrowly avoiding getting into a brawl, he learned about the dark-scaled dragon who might be able to help him and managed to arrange a meeting. When he arrived, the Nocturne spy regarded him coldly, looking him over. "I have never forgotten anything," he told Emmerich, "but I do not know your face or description, or any events near Thorndusk Altar that could have caused what happened to you. I'm sorry. Because you have paid me, I will tell you this: Get out of this place. You are too soft for Hewn City, and a Light Imperial such as yourself would do well in the rest of Sunbeam Ruins. There is a kindly clan not far from here who may help you on your way."

Emmerich followed the spy's directions to the northwest bridge of Hewn City, and followed the road until he arrived at the Brightleaf clan's territory. After some initial concern, the clan's leader, Telperion, accepted his story and agreed to help him out. In exchange for his telling them what stories he could remember from his travels, they gave him food and shelter for a few nights. He got to enjoy some very interesting tea and listen to beautiful music while watching the clan's grove of strange, magical trees glimmer in the sunset.

On his last day there, the clan's medic inspected his head, but his physical injuries seemed to have healed and restoring memories was outside her purview. The alchemist gave him a few experimental potions to try out later, "at your own risk". He thanked them all and went on his way, unsure where to go next.

Sunbeam Lanternhouse
Feeling discouraged, Emmerich wandered west and north until he came to Lanternlea Port and a cheerful inn. Its residents didn't think they had any expertise to help him, but they did their best to make him comfortable and provide entertainments in the hopes of sparking some memories. He witnessed performances from the dance troupe and tried his claw at different crafts in the artists' commune. But nothing seemed to trigger any sort of revelation, and Emmerich decided to move on.

Uh-oh, looks like this lovely boy wandered a little too far from his home lair (YellowstoneDemon #555721), and now he's off to see the world! Rather than exalt, it would be appreciated if you would return him home, to Dragons Off To See The World, or to the rest hub. Talisen would be more than willing to buy him back for his full exalt price, and they would also greatly enjoy letters for their dragon, Kagan, detailing Emmerich's adventures.
