PERSONALITY

Loyal, nitpicky, and rather accident-prone. Darkwood, affectionately(?) nicknamed "Moss" by his former captain, is a tree-colored skydancer who has, and continues to, see his fair share of excitement and trouble. It would seem that all manner of bad luck and ill-natured company follow in his shadow, much to his exhaustion and irritation. That is, until he met a mysterious child in the woods.




ABOUT

Darkwood is a former pirate-turned-birdkeeper and freelance artist living in the Everbloom Gardens. He tends to a humble aviary, which he occasionally rents birds out to the local post when they're in need of more carriers. Compared to how he was during his pirate days, he's mellowed out quite a bit. (WIP)

Dune's loyal, but nit picky, first mate of his pirate crew. Darkwood often points out the flaws in Dune's logic and sometimes has "I told you so!" moments with him. But he'd never leave the crew despite the excited mirror getting them all into trouble. It's much too entertaining even with all the things that backfire!

Darkwood just wishes Dune use his real name from time to time.

COMMENTS

Darkwood's original lore talked about how he was an artist who did commissions and stopped after becoming overwhelmed, likely not delivering his last commission to his client. I related to that on a metaphysical level, so I thought it only fitting I name my adopt shop after him, a testament that both he, and I, can overcome our anxiety about being compensated for our art.
