Earth Primal | Any pronouns | The Woods
Bao is a popular figure amongst the inhabitants of Aella. It's a common belief that he brings good luck and happiness, and sometimes precious gems and stones are said to sprout from the ground while he walks, as if attracted to him. He doesn't speak, although he appears to understand both the language and writing and the other dragons, upon failing to discover his name, nicknamed him Bao, which he seems to be content with. No one knows where he came from or how old he truly is; he has the appearance of a child, however some of the older residents say to have known him for years, but he seems to never age.
Although he is very intuitive and perceptive, with a gaze that shows "wisdom beyond his years", Bao behaves very much like any other hatchling whenever he appears. He has an uncontestable liking for sweets of any kind, which the shop owners are more than happy to provide (he sometimes leaves a precious stone or two behind to show his gratitude). He never stays for too long at the same place, apart from his occasional visit to RiverSpring's tea shop, where he appears to be comforted by its herbal scents.
No one knows exactly where he lives, or at least where he disappears to when he's not in town, but most believe that he retreats to the woods near the river. There have supposedly been sightings of him there, often accompanied by another creature which some say resembles a fairy. Bao is treated by the locals with the utmost respect, and he appears to be overall a harmless and peaceful individual.
