He'd tried to imagine himself being something, someone, somewhere else. Writhed in his mind until he could recount every detail of his birth, two steps behind his brother of course. What a tiny squirming thing he had been, pale red as he breathed in the air of this world for at least the thousandth time. Little eyes had popped open and observed. Everyone was too concerned with his brother, the first one, the strongest. So unbeknownst he grew stronger...

Tune remembered everything. Almost as if it were meant to be a consequence of this, he knew that his clan hadn't exactly welcomed him with open arms. He had always been considered weaker than his twin Song. Curse of being the secondborn, or something akin to that. The first dragon Tune remembered to show care towards him at all was Ares, the warlord who led the warlords, the king of death. Not disease, no, but true, brutal death. Tune had immediately felt close to him, choices from his own past ensured he knew plenty about death. Almost like a mentor, Ares had trained Tune in the art of his darkness, and Tune had flourished in that darkness.
