As the mate of the late king of the Clan of Red Roses, Vulpecula now sits as their queen and their eldest member. Her bright red plumage has all but faded into a more modest and dull red, the colors of her rose seeming to now shy away from the formerly harsh hues of a crimson red. Before such a prestigious title was bestowed upon her, Vulpecula was the caretaker of hatchlings, patient, yet unwilling to shift her ideals. Ogoun especially gave her a hard time when he was young, his pink eyes swirling with too many emotions, not exclusive to him, she couldn't decipher. Vulpecula regards this all with a sigh, a droop in her crest feathers and averted eyes. Vulpecula knows she wasn't the best caretaker, too rigid to flow and ebb around the constantly shifting natures and identities and growth of hatchlings. Now she is the only remnant of a generation so filled with strife and affairs and conflicts that she can reminisce about with no other dragon. So Vulpecula now waits, waits for the petals of her own rose to finally wither off its stem and the last of the harsh reds to finally succumb to the decay of brown.

Vulpecula is trying to teach him how to properly be the heir, but her hope of the future king is wearing thin. She is still unconfident with how quickly he'll be able to learn, especially after she's gone.

Cotopaxi is still someone Vulpecula heeds caution of, stating how the talk of spirits and ancestors dulls her feathers. She is sure to avoid the Prophet whenever she's around.
