Appleberry

His egg abandoned, Appleberry hatched alone in an enchanted forest. The trees themselves adopted him before the spirits of the wood did, a dragon made a dryad to keep him safe. Though he melded through the trees as easily as the wildflowers, he found himself much preferring to take on the colorful beauty of the latter.

When adventurers wandered through the woods where he lived, the skydancer didn't recognize himself as a dragon, nor did he speak any draconic. However, he recognized that he and the adventurers had much of the same form, something that had always made him feel at odds with his bark covered parents no matter how much they'd tried to convince him that scales were only a different type of bark. Asking to come along on the journey, it was a minor blessing that Quillan was along for the venture to understand the ancient tongues the trees had taught him, and accepted the skydancer to the venture and the guild.
