Sarah, being a Skydancer from the Wyrmwound, wasn’t expecting much change when she arrived at the Shifting Expanse. She arrived with a lot of curiosity in her bright red eyes, and soon found herself with a lot of sand in her bright red feathers. She quickly adapted to the sun, sand and heat (it was a lot of fun to play in for a hatchling), but, oddly enough, she noticed a strange feather on her wing. It was bright white. A very odd thing to suddenly appear. Day by day, the white on her wings spread further and further. Likewise, the coarse fur all over her body went from uniform cherry red to a patchwork with pure white. It was a very odd thing to see…

Sarah liked Lightning. While she was used to adapting to the world, they learned enough about the world to adapt it to them, and for a Plagueling, that’s a very new idea. The interest in the ‘why’ was so fascinating… so she decided to find a ‘why’ of her own. With some help from microtechnicians, she managed to figure out why she’d been bleaching since she got to the Expanse- sun. Apparently, a mutation in the strain of the native Wyrmwound bacteria all over her caused the colour in her fur and feathers to break down in the dry and sunny atmosphere. It’s a unique curiosity that hasn’t been recorded before, and just one of the many reasons she’s so special.
