Biography
Saphir got into a little trouble when he was a young Arcane dragon. He was forced to leave his home Clan because of a teensy-weensy little problem.
He was possessed.
The being possessing him referred to itself as a Dread, but it was pretty clearly something Other, perhaps an escaped Shade creature. Over the years, though, the pair have developed a truce once Saphir proved to the Dread that he could exert his will and nearly completely snuffed out the Dread. What stayed his wing was the Dread's promise to aid in magical endeavours if it were permitted to remain intact and present. It occasionally tests its boundaries, but it also knows that DreamingSeer would snuff it out like a candlewick if she ever thought Saphir had lost control.
