B I O G R A P H Y

It'd been a fairly normal day in Mountainhome when it happened. The coliseum team off fighting monsters, the Pearlcatcher brothers practicing magic, Portal Strike and Yvir working on electronics- business as usual. It was Portal Strike and Yvir, in fact, who noticed the disruption first. It was gradual, but rather quick; monitors and screens degraded to nothing but white noise, and the speakers soon put out nothing but static. Their keypresses didn't register, and even Portal's pride and joy, the CS-DA, wasn't working properly. It was as if every piece of technology in Mountainhome had been sabotaged, all at once. But the effect was so gradual, it couldn't have simply been a broken wire or some spiteful act by Yoshiko. It must've been a sort of interference...like a radio wave.

Portal Strike quickly began looking around Mountainhome for something, or perhaps someone, who could be causing the interference. He inspected every nook and cranny, but couldn't find anything- at least, nothing he would've expected. But soon, he realized something- he hadn't been looking up. He hadn't checked the outside of Mountainhome at all. So he rushed out the door and took to the skies- and that was when he saw him.

He was perched on a flat, seemingly broken-off spike jutting from the mountain. He sat perfectly motionless, staring skyward, tail held high. He was a stunning pink-and-blue, but most notable was his...peculiar...appearance. From roughly his chest area, his body faded into a grid of cyan lines against an abyssal blue, appearing hollow yet endless, like staring into a box of mirrors. Bright blue and pink squares floated around him. And when Portal approached, he heard white noise and what sounded like the knob of a radio being twisted. Somehow, he knew that this was the cause of the interference. He looked toward him- not moving his head from its skyward position, but moving his eyes to look- and he spoke, in a stream of numbers.

"7. 18. 5. 5. 20. 9. 14. 7. 19. 0. 12. 9. 19. 20. 5. 14. 5. 18."
