질병의 땅에서 가장 깨끗한 색으로 태어난 이노센타. 이노센타는 재앙과 역병의 땅 위에서 하얀 날개를 펼치고 날아올랐다.

그가 날개를 펄럭일 때마다 우아하게 차려입은 정장의 레이스 장식이 흩날렸다. 날개를 감싼 건 핏방울처럼 붉은 장미들, 수정처럼 굳은 피의 사슬들. 유쾌하게 살아가고픈 흰 용에게 얽힌 숙명이었다. 불거진 눈동자에 새겨진 건 운명이라는 이름의 족쇄였다.

이노센타라는 이름답게 결백하게, 순결하게, 깨끗하게 폭발하리라. 가장 추악하게 얼룩진 빛이 되리라.

하지만 그때가 오기 전까지 이노센타는 하얀 비늘을 반짝이며 즐겁게 웃기로 했다. 여러 개의 눈동자로 그림을 보고, 쇼핑을 하고, 놀이를 하며 가끔씩 새 옷을 걸쳐보는 삶을 살기로 했다.

우선은 날개를 분홍색으로 물들여볼까?

이노센타는 두 손 가득 반짝이는 금을 짤랑거리며 아이처럼 소리내 웃었다. 흰 날개는 분홍색이 되었고, 이노센타는 쇼핑이라는 새로운 즐거움을 알게 되었다.
