Uh-oh, looks like this strange-willed Snapper wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, we'd really appreciate it if you could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread here, or this rest hub, if you don’t want another traveler in return from the thread. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)!

Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it.


Mariposa came out of his egg fluttering. Snappers are not exactly known for their aerodynamics, but he was going to make it work, through hell and high water. As he aged, so too did his body, banning Mariposa from even brief stints of flight. He felt as if he had been robbed of something in his birthright. He spent the next several moons studying insects with deep interest, particularly insects: with butterflies catching his eye above all. Their thinness, their grace, their patterning - yes, this was the life that Mariposa was meant to be born into. And until he himself can discover the divine art of cocooning himself in a layer of silk, he must simply study their ways and adopt them for his own - hence his bold choice of style and graceful gait.

@Hyzenthlaay here! This dragon is officially a part of the "Around the World in 365 Dergs" challenge. Check out the thread for information and more travelers like this! ...or just read the following:
